NIDDERDALE WINNERS SHOW OFF PRIZES

Staff from our Pateley Bridge office were delighted to present a local family with a delicious hamper of treats following their winning entry to a competition run on the firm’s stand at the Nidderdale show.
Louise Radcliffe, her mum Alison Iveson and baby Bonnie called into the office on the High Street to collect the goodies. The family guessed all four of the Nidderdale landmarks in the competition which attracted plenty of interest and entries throughout the day.
Dacres has been the main sponsor of Nidderdale Show for the last 34 years, and welcomed hundreds of people to its popular exhibition stand. People donated a £1 per entry and the money raised is being donated to a local charitable initiative run by Father Darryl Hall that helps families in need.
‘Pateley Show’, as the Nidderdale Show is affectionately known, celebrates the finest of agricultural traditions with top class livestock, horse and dog sections, boasting one of the best exhibitions of animals anywhere in the UK and also a host of produce and crafts from the Dales. Held in the picturesque surrounds of Bewerley Park, Pateley Bridge, it regularly attracts crowds of 15,000 people and marks the end of the agricultural season.
Sales negotiator Alison Reilly, from Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Pateley Bridge office, said: “We had great weather and a fantastic turnout. Our stand was buzzing all day and people really loved the competition.”
