Burley-in-Wharfedale is a small village located mid-way between Ilkley and Otley. It offers a range of properties from recent new builds to an excellent selection of period and historical properties.
One of the wonderful advantages of living in Burley village is its train station with direct trains to both Leeds and Bradford in just under 25 minutes. This makes the village popular with both young professionals and families alike. Burley also has direct road links to all the county’s major cities - Leeds can be reached on the A660 in around 30 minutes, and Bradford in under 25 minutes. There are also excellent direct bus links to Ilkley, Harrogate and Leeds.
The community is thriving in Burley and the village features a number of pubs, restaurants and coffee shops as well as village butcher, deli, beautician, and a small supermarket. And should you not find what you are looking for, the bustling spa town of Ilkley is less than ten minutes away with its range of eateries, banks, high street stores and boutiques.
For families there are four nursery schools in the village and two Outstanding OFSTED-rated primary schools, which are both feeder schools to the highly sought-after high schools Ilkley Grammar & St Mary's Catholic High School.
The village has a pro-active Parish Council who provides activities such as the annual Moor Run, Duck Race, Summer Festival and the Christmas Market.
