We will be running a ‘Guess the Value’ competition using four Yorkshire properties which were all on the market with Dacres in 1982 when the we were also exhibiting. Anyone visiting the stand can guess the prices of the properties, and the person who is most accurate will receive a £250 Provenance Inns voucher, which can be used towards a luxury stay at any of the Group’s eight stunning Yorkshire Inns and Hotels.
The Great Yorkshire Show features the best of British farming and is England’s premier agricultural show. Held at the Great Yorkshire Showground in Harrogate it gives first-hand experience of agriculture and rural life through demonstrations and exhibitions. With exciting ring displays and more than 1,200 stands, the show attracts around 130,000 visitors over three days.
Organised by the Yorkshire Agricultural Society the show takes place from Tuesday 11th to Thursday 13th July. Harrogate based Director Tim Waring, who joined Dacres from Knight Frank last year, is heading up the stand alongside our Head of Customer Services, Kate Sutcliffe, who will be leading a team of staff from the Dacres network.
Tim says: “Our stand was very popular last year with hundreds of people visiting us, and there was fierce competition when it came to guessing the value of recently sold homes which everybody really enjoyed, so we are going to run a similar competition this year but this time on homes we sold 35 years ago.
“It’s fascinating to see how Dacres has expanded since then, with our dedicated mortgage and surveys departments, the wide range of commercial property advice we provide, and of course our agricultural advisory service lead by the highly experienced Ian Cox.
“The Great Yorkshire Show is a key date in the calendar for many of our clients so we were keen to replicate the success of our stand last year, and are very much looking forward to meeting up with many of the people we do business with.”
