We have become the first sponsor to start raising money for a range of new outdoor sports surfaces at Bramhope Primary School by donating £50 to the school for every new property that our Bramhope office lists for sale before the end of June.
Bramhope Primary School has launched its Great Outdoors Spaces project with the aim of raising approximately £145,000 that will be used to redevelop four outdoor play and sports areas. As part of the project, two playgrounds at the front and rear of the school, as well as the reception’s outdoor space, will be landscaped, resurfaced, painted and certain parts covered in artificial grass.
The school is also planning to develop a range of facilities that the wider community can use. These will include a full-size netball court, a running track and an innovative multi-use games area (MUGA) complete with two full size 5-a-side football pitches.
The school is currently sourcing grants and corporate donations for the work as well as raising money from PTA fundraising and events including a sunflower growing competition, which Dacres has also sponsored by providing the plant pots that the competitors use.
Gemma Carter, who heads up the Bramhope office, said: “Bramhope Primary School is an integral part of the local community and these exciting plans will greatly benefit all its pupils, as well as lots of local sports clubs and teams, so we’re delighted to support them.
“There’s a long way to go in terms of the money that’s required, but hopefully we’ll be the first of many local businesses that get behind the campaign. Anyone putting their property on the market with us before the end of the month, will also be able to play their part by triggering a £50 donation.”
