Virginia House is a delightful Victoria family home with a lovely attached two bedroom cottage. The property is also offered with a range of outbuildings, mature gardens and two paddocks.
The house is approached via a stone flagged path through a walled front garden. The front door leads into a spacious hallway with rooms either side. To the right is a good sized sitting room which has got beautiful high ceilings and an open fireplace to one end as well as a large window flooding the room with natural light. On the other side is an almost identical room in size, as fantastic dining room again with high ceilings, an open fireplace and large window. The kitchen is a useful size with a fantastic mix of fitted cupboards at different levels, a granite work surface and an oil fired AGA. Behind the kitchen is a breakfast room with windows looking out on the mature gardens beyond. There is also a useful large utility room with fitted units, an electric oven and door leading out to the gardens. Upstairs in the main house there is a spacious landing. The master bedroom is a fantastic size and has built in wardrobes and an ensuite shower room. Another two double bedrooms and a further single room are on the floor along with a family bathroom.
The attached cottage is accessed through the breakfast room, garden and from the side of the house. This is a fantastic space with so much scope for different ventures. The cottage offers a living room, dining room, modern kitchen, downstairs W/C and two bedrooms and a shower room to the first floor. This cottage can be used as an annex for family, a holiday cottage or just another arm of the house.
Externally the property is just as impressive as internally if not more. To the front of the house there is an off street parking area for a couple of cars and an access drive to the side of the house with a double garage and private gates into the courtyard. Behind the garage there is a fantastic old stable building with a store room downstairs and upstairs the most fantastic studio room which is currently used as a summer dining room with views down to the bottom of the lovely mature gardens. There are a few further outbuildings currently used for tool sheds, storage rooms and an external utility/freezer. A fantastic feature of the lovely gardens is the stone wall down the middle which shows the original garden split from the old houses that are now the one. There is a greenhouse in the walled corner of the garden and path leading through the well-stocked borders to an orchard. This leads into two paddocks at the rear which could be used for horses or other uses.
