The area offers an excellent array of amenities including a good selection of shops (independent retailers and national chains), two large-scale retail parks, a Morrisons supermarket, a leisure centre with swimming pool, a theatre and numerous bars and restaurants. In addition, the bright lights of Leeds are easily reached by car and public transport. For those who enjoy outdoor pursuits, there are excellent walks through countryside, woodland and canal towpaths as well as easy access to Baildon and Ilkley Moor.

What we love about Guiseley and Rawdon
Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre
This part of Yorkshire may be one of the most land-locked areas in the country but that doesn't mean we can't get out sailing. At Yeadon Tarn, the Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre provides a range of courses catering for most ages and abilities. The centre is operated by Leeds City Council and is a Royal Yachting Association Training centre for dinghy sailing. For those eager to get out on the water, it's a great place to learn the ropes, whilst for landlubbers there is also a range of caving, mountain-biking and rock climbing courses. Yeadon Tarn is a fantastic amenity, which is well used by people in this area.
