A director of Yorkshire house builder Snell Developments has won a prestigious National House Building Council award for the quality of an 18-home site at Addingham, near Ilkley.

Andrew Snell, aged 38, celebrates his Pride in the Job Quality Award as the first phase of the Moor Lane Croft development nears completion and an open day is set for Saturday 30th September 10.00am to noon.

Only nine homes in the development remain to be sold – with two of those available to view and the rest due for completion between October and April 2018.

The properties acclaimed by the NHBC consist of two-storey, three and four-bed homes built from natural stone with high specification interiors, ranging in price from £304,950 to £549,950.

Andrew, who works with his parents Philip and Margaret and brother John, was one of only 48 site managers in the Northeast region to be handpicked by the NHBC, which has judged 16,000 builders nationally in the last 12 months.

He said: “I’m pleased that the consistent high standards of our work have been recognised by the NHBC. I thank my brother and parents as well as our long-standing and loyal staff, whose hard work and attention to detail allow us to maintain our quality reputation and deliver such great homes.”

Silsden-based Snell Developments was founded in 1977. Its developments include Middleway Meadows and Banklands Lane in Silsden, Highgate Croft on Cononley Moor and Beautry Croft in Rathmell, North Yorkshire.
