A local cricket club has scored a sponsorship deal with Dacres for the seventh year in a row.
We have a long-standing involvement with North Stainley Cricket Club which has been established for over 200 years. The club has three adult teams, six junior teams aged under 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17 and three thriving girls’ teams. The club has junior players who currently represent North of England, Yorkshire, North Yorkshire, Nidderdale Taverners and Hambleton area teams and it also runs indoor teams in winter, the under 17s having just won the league.
North Stainley 1st team plays in Nidderdale League Division 3 and the 2nd team compete in Nidderdale League Division 7. The Club also plays in the Harrogate and District Evening League Division 3.
Dacres Finance Director, John Skinner is junior chairman and head coach at the club. John and Area Manager Chris O’Mahony recently presented Kim Barrett, the junior secretary, with the donation. Chris says: “We have been selling and letting homes from our base near the market square in Ripon for more than 40 years. We are keen cricket fans and delighted to be continuing our support of such a fantastic club that has celebrated many fantastic achievements over the years.
“There are so many talented players of all ages and abilities at North Stainley and the club is run by an army of dedicated volunteers. Hopefully our continued contributions will help all the teams achieve their goals this season and it’s great to see our logo proudly displayed on the junior teams’ shirts.”
Club Secretary Julie Puttock says: “Dacre Son & Hartley plays a big part in our club and their sponsorship and support is invaluable.”
