Our Settle office is enjoying soaring demand for its services, and is currently marketing a vast range of property across an area that now incorporates Bentham, Ingleton and Kirby Lonsdale, making it the largest catchment area within our 21 office network.

Over the last 12 months our Settle office has successfully sold a huge range of property including farmhouses, country homes, smart apartments and traditional cottages, as well as several guesthouses, hotels, commercial properties and agricultural sites.  This coincides with the property market being particularly strong in the area surrounding Settle, with several homes selling within days of them hitting the market lately.

Jason Preston, who heads up our Settle office, explains: “Dacre, Son & Hartley’s 21-strong office network covers most of North and West Yorkshire’s prime locations and Settle is the firm’s most North Westerly office.  As a result, we’re currently receiving increasing numbers of enquiries from home owners in towns and villages that are outside our traditional catchment area, and even into Lancashire, who want to take advantage of our widespread network and extensive marketing capabilities, which incorporate all the latest digital technology. 

“This includes our newly launched website that is specifically designed to be user friendly, with large, high quality images for every property, as well as detailed location overviews that all load promptly and are optimised for use on mobile devices and tablets.  We’ve also incorporated the latest industry technology, which enables users to save searches and pick up where they left off when they revisit the site, similar to what Rightmove offers.  It’s immediately proving successful and is sure to be popular with the thousands of visitors that it typically attracts each month.”

Jason adds: “The launch of our new website was timed around the autumn season, which is often a busy time for the property market, with large numbers of buyers and sellers hoping to move before the festive season.  This is certainly the case this year, especially because we’re still experiencing a shortage of housing stock available for sale throughout the region, particularly in Craven.  This makes it an ideal time for vendors, who seek expert advice and price their properties realistically, to launch a home onto the market and achieve a sale.”
