Our Survey Department provides a full range of valuations, appraisals and surveys on residential properties for a wide number purposes including professional reports, mortgage lending, expert witness and matrimonial. It also offers an extensive choice of surveys including different types of building survey reports.
The department now employs a team of five surveyors and two consultants, operating across our 21-strong office network and adjoining areas covering both North and West Yorkshire, from Bradford to Skipton, to North Leeds and Harrogate, as well as up to Darlington and Teesside through to York and the Yorkshire Coast. Clients include major and specialist lenders, private individuals and it also sources work through recommendations from other estate agents and associated professionals.

This has resulted in a sustained period of growth since I was appointed to manage the department, culminating in our expansion over the past 12 months with the engagement of two additional surveyors. We remain keen to expand our operational footprint which already covers a major portion of Yorkshire.
“There has been much progress made within the department and we have recently adopted new technology by upgrading our IT systems so that we can record site notes on tablets and move towards a paperless office. However, the most exciting thing is that there is still so much more to do; we see survey reports becoming more important with changes in the mortgage market, as a result of which we will be looking to further improve our choice of reports as we continue building on our service standards.”
