We have appointed budding property professional Jacob Taylor as a trainee Sales Negotiator in our Skipton office.
The 18-year-old, who lives locally in Skipton, attended Ermysted's Grammar School before completing a business course at Craven College. The keen rugby player is currently enjoying his first year at senior level, playing for Wharfedale RUFC’s second team. He was also part of a highly successful junior Colts side that won back to back Yorkshire Cups.
In his new role, he will support the offices seven strong team as well as accompanying buyers on viewings and assisting with marketing appraisals. As part of his training, we plan to support him in becoming accredited by the National Federation of Property Professionals, which will see him study for a number of the organisation’s qualifications.
Jacob says: “After school and college, I decided I wanted to start work rather than going to university. I’ve always been interested in both property and sales, so estate agency seemed like an obvious career choice. I’m already thoroughly enjoying it and find helping people to sell and move home really rewarding.”
Tim Usherwood, a Director who heads up our Skipton office, says: “We’re always keen to invest in enthusiastic new talent and bring forward the estate agents of the future within a professional environment. Our Skipton office provides an exciting opportunity thanks to our diverse property stock and involvement in residential, commercial and development focussed properties. Jacob knows Skipton inside out, and he’s very personable with a can-do attitude, which made him the ideal candidate for this role. He should have a promising career ahead of him.”
