ESTATE AGENT FLIES SKY HIGH FOR HOSPICE

Alison Reilly from our Pateley Bridge office is planning on scaling new heights in order to raise money for Martin House Hospice for Children and Young People. 

Alison plans to abseil off Ripon Cathedral on Saturday 18th May – sliding down a daring 115ft drop to raise money for the charity that gave invaluable care to friends who lost their baby.

Alison said: “Years ago I did an abseil off Harefield Hall Hotel tower in Pateley – but I was not in a rush to repeat the experience! However, Martin House is such a fantastic charity helping families with children that have life-shortening conditions, and they also help bereaved parents, like my friends. 

“Kate and Adam lost their baby last year, and they are now focusing their efforts on raising as much awareness about Martin House as possible, and I wanted to help them fundraise too. As a company, Dacres is always on the lookout for ways to support local charities and worthy causes so were thrilled when I suggested this, and have contributed to the cause. I have worked for Dacres Pateley Bridge office for 16 years and have been involved in many fundraising events, but never one as extreme as this.

“Martin House is a fantastic charity helping families with children that have life-shortening conditions, but they also help bereaved parents like Kate and Adam.  Without the care, help, love and support given by Martin House Adam and Kate would not be in the position they are now.  They are looking to the future, whilst remembering their son every day and with ongoing bereavement counselling from Martin House they will get there. I hope to help raise as much money as possible so that the charity can keep on doing this invaluable work.”
