Dacres are delighted to have given their support to local lads Dan and Neil, who together form Team Pie in the 2018 Duchenne Dash (a ride of almost 200 miles from London to Paris in 24 hours), to help save the life of the thousands of children with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. The goal of the Dash is to raise at least £1,000,000, all of which will go direct to medical research. Dan and Neil are aiming to raise £8,000 of this - a small amount towards the total, but a large amount for them.
Duchenne UK is a personal cause for Dan, as the founders of Duchenne Children’s Trust – whose own little boy has been diagnosed with this cruel disease – are old friends of more than 20 years.
