Our agricultural division is backing the amateur horse racing event which will be held on Saturday 14th April at Hornby Castle in North Yorkshire.
The horses will race over fences within the ground of Hornby Park and the event, which attracts large crowds every year from across the region, is a calendar highlight for many people.
The Bedale Point to Point offers generous prize money of £1000 for both Open Races. The George F. White Mens’ Open Race is run over an extended three miles at Hornby Castle’s galloping track and the Silk Family Law Ladies’ Open Race is run over two miles and six furlongs.
The Bedale Point to Point is also hosting a Dodson & Horrel PPORA Novice Riders Series Qualifier which has been rescheduled due to recent abandonments. The first four finishers in this Qualifier will be eligible to line up in the £1000 Final at Garthorpe on 29th April.
