DACRE, SON & HARTLEY WILL STAR IN OTLEY SHOWS RETURN

As Otley Show returns later this month after a two-year break due to the pandemic, leading estate agent Dacre, Son & Hartley is continuing its long-term support for the UK’s oldest one day agricultural show and will be a key exhibitor again at this year’s event.

This year Otley Show, which dates back to 1796, will take place on Saturday 21st May 2022. Team members from Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Otley office will man the firm’s exhibition stand offering property advice and handing out goodie bags. Visitors to the stand will also have the opportunity to guess the number of sweets in a giant bowl for the chance to win a £75 voucher, and a £25 voucher for the runner-up, for the renowned Buon Apps restaurant overlooking the River Wharfe.

Tim Usherwood, who heads up Dacres Otley office, said: “After a two-year hiatus, it’s fantastic that Otley Show will return this year for the agricultural community, the thousands of people that will visit, and the town of Otley as a whole. It promises to be a superb event with a huge variety of entertainment, fun and activities for the whole family. 

“As a prominent local business, with a long history spanning more than 200 years, we’ve supported Otley Show for decades and we’re really excited to be involved again and can’t wait to meet visitors to this year’s event.”

Otley Show is one of the most important agricultural shows in the North and highlights this year will include the Paul Hannam Quad Bike Stunt Show, SMJ Birds of Prey Display, The Sheep Show, terrier racing, giant tortoises, Stockhole Alpacas and a British wool demonstration with spinners and weavers. 

There will also be live bands playing in the music tent, a vintage tractor exhibition, a farrier competition, donkey rides, a farmers’ market and lots of children’s attractions, as well as a wide range of animal classes and trade stands. Tickets can be reserved at www.otleyshow.org.uk
