Just over 17 acres of productive grass pasture and meadow fields on Betteras Hill Road on the outskirts of the village of Hillam, between Leeds and Selby, are being sold in two lots with a guide price of £185,000.

The land is being marketed by the specialist agricultural division of Yorkshire estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley. Ian Cox, a director from Dacre, Son & Hartley, who heads up the firm’s agricultural and development team, said: “This is an excellent opportunity to purchase productive and level grass pasture and meadow land, which is suitable for livestock farmers, anyone with equestrian interests and amenity buyers.”

The land is available in two lots. The first lot of 11.99 acres (4.85 ha) is a rectangular meadow field and grass pasture that fronts onto Betteras Hill Road on the eastern boundary. The second lot is also a rectangular meadow field, that is 5.46 acres (2.2 ha) and fronts onto Betteras Hill Road on the northern boundary.

Ian added: “Land like this doesn’t come onto the open market often. It’s a great location, surrounded by woodland, grassland and residential properties. Hillam village is closely linked to Monk Fryston where there are several amenities including a school, shops and pub.”
