The winner of the highly contested Crown Green Bowling competition is Billy Webb from Pool in Wharfedale. He has been a member of the club for seven years and was presented with the Dacres trophy by runner up, Stuart Sunman, and Tim Usherwood, from Dacres in Bramhope.
Tim said: “The club on Old Lane and is a thriving hub in the village that has been hosting friendly and competition matches in the Wharfedale League since the 1980s.
“Having been extended twice to accommodate the growing support and membership, it currently boasts 65 members. We have really enjoyed meeting so many of its members and Billy was a worthy winner of the singles competition. We feel very proud to have sponsored the cup and support such a fabulous community asset.
“Our longstanding roots in Bramhope date back many years and we are always keen to get involved with local sports clubs and community organisations that play such a valuable part in so many local people’s lives.”
