Two beautifully converted barns that are situated in a small village between Ripon and Thirsk will be open to view this weekend.
Both The Barn and The Granary at Catton Farm are on the market for £750,000, and will be open to view between 11am and 2pm this Saturday 30th March and Saturday 6th April.
The Barn boasts 3,300 sqft of characterful and well-planned family living accommodation with four bedrooms and stunning living/dining kitchen. The Granary extends to over 3,800 sqft and has a versatile five bedroom layout, including a guest suite, living/dining kitchen and home office. Both homes are set within enclosed lawned gardens and have double garages.
Both properties have been skilfully transformed by John James, from the James Partnership, a niche residential property development company based in the heart of the rural North York Moors National Park. John said: “My passion for buildings stems from my love of redundant, unused, agricultural or ecclesiastical spaces, which for me are blank canvases. These old buildings are evocative and capture my imagination, and the two barns at Catton are a prime example of what can be achieved with quality workmanship and attention to detail.
“We have maintained and enhanced the honesty of the original structures of the barns, ensuring that the internal light is abundant and all of the attractive original features have been retained. Balancing old and new is always a challenge, but we have achieved it at Catton Farm and it’s very rewarding to see such large barns developed into first-class homes in a wonderful North Yorkshire location. The Barn and The Granary are the product of much imagination and hard work and we can’t wait to open the doors so that potential buyers can come and see what’s on offer.”
Area manager, Chris O’Mahony, said: “Location is always key and the barns are in a fantastic spot, just nine miles from Ripon with easy access to the A1. The barns have been sympathetically converted and are very spacious. The ideal family homes have a host of attractive features including wood-burning stoves, cast iron radiators, solid oak kitchen units, floors and staircases, luxurious bathrooms, vaulted ceilings with exposed beams, and south-facing bi-folding doors that lead to the gardens. The walled gardens create privacy and both homes have a driveway and double garage.
“We are expecting plenty of interest in these stunning barn conversions which are sensibly priced and will appeal to families looking for an ideal home in the heart of North Yorkshire.”
