Dacre, Son & Hartley is supporting a campaign encouraging home movers, along with anyone else in Yorkshire, to donate unwanted furniture and electrical appliances to local charity, Homeless Hampers.
The organisation provides essentials and necessities to homeless and less fortunate communities across Leeds, Bradford and Wakefield.
Homeless Hampers accepts all types of donations including sofas, chairs, tables and bedroom furniture, as well as appliances with a fire safety label, such as fridges, toasters and kettles.
Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential at Dacre, Son & Hartley, said: “Homeless Hampers does a superb job and makes a genuine difference to local people in West Yorkshire.
“For many of our clients, moving home is often a time to get rid of, or replace, furniture and appliances, and Homeless Hampers can give these things another lease of life with someone else in need.
“Anyone with unwanted furniture or appliances, that are in good condition, can contact the charity and arrange either a collection or delivery. In most cases, this will also prevent them from ending up in landfill, which also makes it another great cause for us to support.”
