The annual Christmas Tree Festival is held at St John’s parish church in Knaresborough and over 70 beautifully decorated trees are on display from local businesses, individuals, families, schools, shops, societies, and clubs. The entry from Dacres features hand painted wooden houses complete with miniature ‘for sale’ signs.
Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Senior Associate, Nick Alcock, said: “We started entering a tree back in 2015 and every year we look forward to the very special event.
“The festival opened on Saturday and runs right through to the 23rd December. Entry is free but people can make a donation to the church and its chosen charity. This festival always marks the start of Christmas for us, and we really enjoy being part of this popular community event.”
The church is open from 10am – 5pm on Saturdays and from 1.30pm – 5pm on Sundays, with live musical performances each Saturday. Refreshments, including mulled wine, are also available.
