Dacre, Son & Hartley is sponsoring this year’s Great Skipton Santa Fun Run, which will take place on Sunday 28th November and will see hundreds of runners, all dressed as Santa Claus, racing through the streets of Skipton.

The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run is a 5km charity run and walk organised by The Rotary Club of Skipton Craven. The run starts and finishes on Skipton High Street and is a precursor to the town’s Christmas lights being switched on later in the day.

The route follows a course around Skipton, through Aireville Park and Skipton Woods. A shorter 3km wheelchair friendly route takes in a circuit of Aireville Park, which also starts and finishes on the High Street.

In addition to many of the runners’ own charities, the main beneficiaries this year will be Sue Ryder Manorlands, local Skipton charities and Rotary charities.

Mark Kane, who heads up Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Skipton office, said: “The Great Skipton Santa Fun Run is a great spectacle and a fun event in Skipton’s annual calendar that always marks the start of the festive season, as well as raising money for lots of good causes.

“The event relies on sponsorship to help cover its costs, meaning entry fees and other donations can directly benefit its charities, so we’re very proud to be associated with what promises to be a fantastically festive day.”
