A senior sales negotiator is celebrating her 17th anniversary at Dacres, Son & Hartley. Alison Reilly has been based at the Pateley Bridge office of the leading estate agency business since 2nd June, 2003. She has sold properties with a total value of almost £345 million during that time, the most expensive of which was £1.2 million.

Alison grew up and lives in the town with her husband and two children. She has sold hundreds of properties ranging in price from £90,000 to more than £1 million and is well-liked and thought of in the local community. A keen charity fundraiser, Alison raised over £4,000 for Martin House Hospice when she abseiled down Ripon Cathedral.

Alison said: “During my 17 years at Dacres no one day has ever been the same! I am happy to say that I really love my job and until the recent lockdown, have only ever been away from the high-street office to have my two wonderful daughters. Having opened our popular office again after we were forced to shut because of Covid-19, we secured a sale on the first day back! We have had three more instructions this week and three more are in the pipeline for next week.

“What’s great about this area is the people, sense of community spirit and the fact that Pateley Bridge has so much to offer young people, families, retired people and those wanting a second home in the country. During the last 17 years I’ve sold all types of property, from apartments to grand farm houses and everything in between. In fact, I have sold many properties twice or three times over and often get referrals from happy customers which means we end up selling more than one property on the same street. Over the last couple of years, we have marketed more new build homes, which is a welcome development for the area. We currently have some lovely mews-style homes on Skaife Row in Pateley Bridge and some fantastic new homes currently being built in the picturesque village of Middlesmoor.”

Dacre, Son & Hartley’s office manager, Ben Buckley, said: “Alison has an unrivalled knowledge of the local area and is such a valuable part of our business. She knows exactly what buyers want and is fantastic at matching them with the right properties. Always enthusiastic and happy to help, she’s a real star and we are grateful for her professionalism and loyalty.”
