DACRE SON & HARTLEY EXPANDS IN IKLEY
Well respected Wharfedale property agent Tony Howarth has joined leading estate agent, Dacre, Son & Hartley’s Ikley office as sales and lettings negotiator.
Tony, who started his career in property as an articled pupil in 1965 at chartered surveyors George Mitchell & Partners has over 40 years industry experience – the majority of which is in residential sales - having worked for agents Dysons, Whitegates, Simon Thornton’s and other local firms.
Patrick McCutcheon, head of residential sales at Dacre, Son & Hartley says: “Tony has operated in the residential sales market in Ilkley for 23 years and his vast experience and industry knowledge will prove invaluable to the firm. Market activity is currently increasing month on month and Tony’s appointment reflects an increased level of sales activity in the area.
“The Ilkley office is seeing a significant increase in sales instructions across the board and this is coupled with a steady growth in our offering of quality properties to let. I am sure Tony’s assistance will prove to be an invaluable asset to our sales and letting operation.”
Tony will work across both the residential sales and lettings departments progressing residential sales, marketing properties, liaising with clients, accompanying viewings as well as supporting the lettings team sourcing tenants and arranging tenancy agreements.
Tony says: “Having lived in both Ilkley and Burley in Wharfedale for over 30 years I know the area very well indeed. Dacre Son and Hartley was actually the very first firm I spoke to when I left school and was trying to decide on a career path. One of the firm’s partners Douglas Smallwood gave me some invaluable advice and guidance and now, 45 years later, I have joined what is a market leading firm with an unrivalled reputation for service.”
