Patrick McCutcheon, Head of Residential at Dacre Son and Hartley which has 21 offices throughout West and North Yorkshire says: “During the last three months alone of the 65,000 people who visited our main site almost a quarter did so via an i-phone, Blackberry or Smartphone so it was essential that we create an optimised website that works well on mobile devices.”
The Dacres mobile website allows people to search for properties via their Smartphones and access property details for both residential and commercial properties available to buy or let.
Patrick adds: “We have always prided ourselves on delivering the best possible experience for customers and it’s clear from our analysis that a huge proportion of people use mobile devices to search for property.
“We wanted to give everyone using a Smartphone the best possible experience and our new mobile website provides faster and more convenient access to anyone searching for property.”
In addition to the ‘mobile website’, Dacre Son & Hartley is now also including Quick Response codes (QR) on all of its new sales brochures and advertisements giving house hunters direct access to the company website.
With over 50% of people in the UK owning a Smartphone, QR codes provide an easy way for people to access details quickly on their phone.
Patrick McCutcheon, Head of Residential at Dacre Son and Hartley says: “Anyone with a Smartphone simply needs to download a free QR application and then take a picture of the code at the bottom of the advert or brochure they are interested in. They will then be automatically re-directed to a URL or in our case to the individual property details that corresponds with that QR code."
