Our Healthcare Department is headed by David Ogilvie who specialises in the primary healthcare and pharmacy sector, advising on new surgery developments, medical centre and pharmacy lettings, rent reviews, lease renewals, valuations, and investment sales.

David has operated within the Primary Healthcare sector since the early 1990s and has developed a highly respected department and we are now one of the leading surveying practices in the country operating in the sector. Dacres Commercial has a wide range of clients in the healthcare sector, including major financial institutions, property companies, property funds, GP practices, Primary Care Trusts and pharmacy operators.

We are one of the leading valuers in the sector operating throughout the UK and we are the preferred valuer for a number of specialist lenders. We undertake a variety of valuations including the following:-

  1. Secured lending valuations for banks and specialist lenders
  2. Valuations for partnership purposes
  3. Valuations for notional rent
  4. Valuations for sale and acquisition

Over the last twelve months we have valued in excess of £150 million worth of medical centres.

Development Advice

We have provided development advice in respect of a number of new medical schemes, most of which have been doctor lead. These schemes have varied in value from £500,000 to £8 million pounds.

We have also provided specialist advice to a number of developers on schemes with an end value of in excess of £25 million pounds.

In this area we provide a full service including site acquisition, agreeing heads of terms with occupiers, negotiating rents with the District Valuer and assessing the financial viability of a scheme.
